BRATS 2010 Workshops Open For Registration!

Do you wanna see your name immortalised in print or video?Do you wanna know what it's like to be a journalist?Do you wanna have as much fun as those guys in the above pic?

FYI,I'm the guy 2nd from the right,so you'll know this info's legit.Today's Star newspaper has a page calling for fresh faces to join The Star's BRATs Young Journalist Programme. It's a four day camp, with multiple activities planned that enchance your journalistic skills in four major areas:writing, blogging, photography and video-making.You'll be in good hands,as the R.Age team themselves will be the ones divulging expert advice and stuff like that.

There will be 3 camps this year, namely Penang: March 13-16,Kuching: June 5-8 and Kuantan Sept 4-7.In your respective camps, you'll be taken around the place and discover things you won't find in those goddamn tourist books.

Interested?Here's how to apply.

Words - In an English essay of not more than 1,000 words ( to read my application, click here.)

Images - Photo essay or graphic work (in JPEG format)

Video - This is the easiest way.Just bullshit in front of the video cam not more than one minute. But bullshit like a pro,the R.Age team won't settle for amateur BS.

There's also some terms and conditions,so check these out before submitting your application.

a. You must be a Malaysian between 16 and 19 years old.( don't lie about your age, girls!)
b. Include your biodata, with your contact details.
c. The participation fee is RM120, inclusive of accomodation, meals and travelling during the workshop. Note that travelling expenses to the workshop venue will be borne by the participant. Do not send payment with application (only selected applicats are eligible to attend the workshop).(This is counted fuckin cheap already.I paid the amount, and I never was hungry, thirsty or sleepy throughout the camp)
d. Be sure to indicate which workshop you'd like to attend - choose one.
