Top 5 Video Games Of Christmas Past

You know it's Christmas when the malls are decked in the tackiest of decorations, accompanied by covers of traditional Yuletide songs by untalented modern pop artistes.Movie studios churn out cheesy flicks with half-baked stories that rake in money anyway. Not to be left out, game studios also cash in,delivering some of the best(and worst) in Christmas-related gaming.

Here are the top 5 representations of Xmas in video game history.

#5. Hitman:Blood Money

In the 4th game of the long-running series by Eidos, players are able to disguise themselves as Santa Clause. In the mission "You Better Watch Out", Agent 47 is tasked to take out two targets at a Christmas party.Though there is a way to complete the level without changing costumes, what fun is that?Plus,it'd be more badass to send a bullet to the head of "naughty kids" instead of a lump of coal.

#4. Bully

In the game, seasons come and go as the story progresses.Somewhere along the plot, players get to switch the time to Christmas and are summoned to the principal's office. The reason? To receive this absolutely ugly sweater courtesy of your dear old mum.A lousy gift from a parent, just like in real life!Unlike reality, you cannot return this.On the plus side, you can pick up snowballs and hurl them at any unsuspecting student.

#3. Line Rider

An Internet sensation when it was released,Line Rider has undergone many sequels. But the best is always the original. In the first game, players have to guide their little avatars through obstacle-filled levels by drawing a line on-screen that acts as the path. When you're not busy dodging trees and the like, you get to throw snowballs at children and elves!

#2. Nights

Have you ever wondered how fast Santa would have to be to deliver presents to every kid in the world(well,Christian ones) in a single night?Well, maybe one level in the Nights game may help you out.In it,players race the fatman across a Christmas themed stage, with checkpoints and all.Unfortunately,he isn't as fast as one would think, judging by how easy it was to beat him.FedEx probably?

#1. Elf Bowling

Not the best game in the world, but who cares when you get to play as Santa himself?Looks like he's pretty stressed out at organising the gifts, and needed an outlet to vent his frustrations.Well, that's where his elves and bowling comes to the picture.Note that the elves are the pins!Great fun.

Merry Christmas everybody!
